Renovite is our sulfamate nickel plating line, designed specifically for battery component applications. It prepares current collectors, busbars, and connection components to the specification required for new cell and pack manufacturing — closing the gap between recovered material and finished battery components.
Sulfamate Nickel Plating
Sulfamate nickel plating is the preferred electroplating process for battery applications because it produces coatings with low internal stress, high ductility, and excellent adhesion — critical for components that must withstand repeated thermal cycling and mechanical stress in battery packs. Our line is calibrated for the specific thickness and hardness requirements of battery-grade components.
Applications
We plate current collector tabs, busbars, contact surfaces, and connection components for battery cells and modules. This service is available both to manufacturers sourcing from external suppliers and as part of our internal value chain — where recovered copper and aluminium foil from black mass processing is plated and returned to the supply chain as finished components.
Process Control
Plating bath chemistry, current density, temperature, and agitation are controlled to tight tolerances across every production run. Components are tested post-plating for coating thickness, adhesion strength, and conductivity before leaving the line.
