Renovar Eco Solutions is a battery recycling and materials recovery company based at SIDCO Industrial Estate, Thirumazhisai, Chennai. We run four interconnected services — black mass recovery, CAM production, nickel plating, and laser welding — that together close the loop on lithium-ion battery materials.
India imports 70% of its battery materials. It doesn't have to.
The lithium-ion batteries powering India's electric vehicles, grid storage projects, and consumer devices contain recoverable quantities of lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, graphite, copper, and aluminium.
Today, most of that material either leaves the country as low-value scrap or ends up in informal channels with poor recovery rates and serious environmental consequences.
Renovar exists to build the infrastructure that changes that — keeping critical materials inside India, inside the supply chain, inside the loop.

Our CAM production process is patent-protected and exclusive to Renovar — no other operator in India runs this approach at the materials level.
Our recovered cathode active material has been independently characterised and validated by India's Central Electrochemical Research Institute, meeting battery-grade specification.
Black mass recovery, CAM production, nickel plating, and laser welding — all four stages run from our Chennai facility, not across a fragmented supply chain.
We're building supply from both sides — domestic scrap collection and a procurement network for imported feedstock from the US, where end-of-life EV volumes are accelerating.

13+ years across battery technology, advanced materials, electrochemical systems, and energy storage. PhD in Energy and Chemical Engineering, with deep expertise in lithium-ion batteries, cell development, characterization, and battery recycling. Author of 30+ scientific publications.
